Five private man-made lakes are located throughout the River Pines community. The lakes are named: Sunrise, Horseshoe, Heron, Big Lost Ball, and Little Lost Ball. The lakes range in size from 1 to over 6+ acres. Fishing, for owners and their guests, is available on every lake during the summer months. The lakes are closed for activities once they freeze over. Each residential unit has a water view of some sort.

A Lakes Committee exists to ensure the health of the private lakes remains a priority. Each year the committee sets a schedule for activities such as stocking the lakes with fish, setting up a fish registration process, and testing the water quality.  

River Pines contracts with a professional lakes management company.  We take great pride in our stewardship of our water resources.
